Why do the most dependable retreads on the road deserve the best warranty in the industry? Because Our Quality Doesn’t Stop at 2/32nds of an inch. Each cap and casing (A-Grade) purchased from a McGriff Retread Plant (Cullman, Oxford, Mobile), which bears the R-DOT of a McGriff plant, is warranted to be free from defect in workmanship and materials for the life of the original retread down to 2/32nds of remaining tread. If the cap and casing shall fail to provide satisfactory service due to conditions related to the workmanship or materials, it shall be credited based on the following criteria under the terms of this warranty. Within the first 2/32nds of the original tread, adjustment shall be made at 100% of the current price in effect at the time of adjustment. If more than 2/32nds tread has been worn, the adjustment for credit shall be prorated based on the remaining tread depth. If 2/32nds or less tread remains, the tire will be considered worn-out and no adjustment for credit will be made.

In the event that a tread-lift should occur and no tread remains to determine wear to the retread, adjustment for credit shall be made as follows:

Exclusions from Warranty

This warranty does not cover retreaded tires that are rendered unserviceable due to 

one or more of the following:

 

  • Road Hazard
  • Vehicle Damage
  • Incorrect Mounting
  • Wheel Mis-Alignment
  • Non-McGriff Repairs
  • Damage caused by abuse, neglect, collision
  • Improper Inflation curbing, vandalism, 
    fire or chemicals

 

This warranty does not provide for compensation or loss of time, loss of use of vehicle, or inconvenience of consequential damage. Any service or labor charges incurred and any applicable taxes are payable by the customer. This warranty is for the original customer and is not assignable to the purchaser of used retreaded tires.
